Space shuttle «Discovery» final voyage



The Endeavour makes its final voyage to museum, after served NASA for 27 years, flew 39 missions, spent exactly one year (365 days) in space and orbited the earth 5,830 times. Every trip was just like   travelling with the Discovery to the moon and coming back to earth. Now it is on the way to a rest place: it´s sad, it is the final time.
Specs: Empty Weight: 151,419 lbs at rollout and 171,000 lbs with main engines installed.

Last flight on the back of a Boeing 747, from Cape Canaveral Space Center in Florida to Washington.









The Discovery space shuttle is going  safely back on Earth after a 12-day mission to take supplies to the International Space Station.
